About Our Principal - Kerry McClellan
Mrs. Kerry McClellan is honored to serve as a member of the Wilkinsburg School District Administrative Team and the Principal of Turner Intermediate School.
She began her career in education within the Pittsburgh Public School System. In August 2009 she accepted the position with Wilkinsburg School District as the Special Education Director and later transitioned to Kelly Primary as the building Principal in August 2015.
Having earned her M.Ed. in Special Education from the University of Pittsburgh, Mrs. McClellan additionally earned her Special Education Supervision and Administration Certificate K-12 from Duquesne University. In December 2017 Mrs. McClellan completed the Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility Program through California University of PA. She is a proud member and affiliate of numerous educational and professional organizations at both national and local levels.
Mrs. McClellan is an administrator who leads within a system that is student-focused, well-managed, and safe. Her goal is to prepare all students to achieve academic excellence and social accomplishment. It is her mission to promote the success of all students by facilitating the development and implementation of a vision of educational distinction that is shared and supported by her staff and stakeholders. She believes in providing every student with the opportunity to succeed in all aspects of life by creating educational and social activities for both students and families to enjoy while learning.
